Born in 1935 in Rochester (N.Y.), Chiarenza is a photographer as well as Fanny Knapp Allen Professor Emeritus of Art History and Artist-in-Residence at the University of Rochester. Carl Chiarenza (born 1935) is an American art photographer. He works predominantly in black and white photography.
